North Carolina’s oldest theme park, Tweetsie Railroad is based around Engine No. 12, a historic narrow-gage steam locomotive of the East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad. It is located 4 miles south of Boone near Julian Price Park. The park features carnival rides, arcades, musical entertainment, and staged gunfights and is also home to the Frank T. Williams Railroad Museum.
